The very special role of women – opposing the serpent

And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; …..15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge ….., thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The story of Genesis is about the evolution of the mind and the consequences for man and the planet.  The mind is formed of three parts – the Higher spirit [immortal soul – Adam], the Conscious self [the serpent]  and the Subconscious [Eve]. There is a diagram which shows these three divisions which I will refer to whilst I explain these divisions.

The story of Genesis is about the growth of the conscious mind

The ego [the big I am] , memory [data and learnt function], objectives [I want] and willfulness.

The functions of the conscious mind are symbolically represented by the Serpent.  Genesis is about the growth in power of the serpent of cleverness, wile and cunning. All a product of the conscious mind.  Through the wiles of the serpent, the Higher spirit loses control and the Personality acquires goals of its own [objectives] as opposed to those of God [dressing and keeping the garden].  In effect the role of humanity was originally to be a steward of creation, to tend and care for the earth and all its creatures – a sort of good shepherd.  But we acquired an inner serpent that had its own agenda and that agenda was entirely selfish and to the detriment of the Paradise that once existed.

Clever people are not wise people.

Being able to remember and recall a mountain of data you have read in a book, or been taught by teachers or lecturers, is not wisdom, it means you are able to remember and recall, but it does not signify you have the ability to question and reason.  A computer can store [remember] and recall [output], but no one calls a computer ‘wise’.

Intelligence, Einstein said, is the ability to solve new problems, not regurgitate data.

It is noticeable that ‘clever’ men are generally entirely dismissive of people who have different opinions to them.  They have remembered some complex wordy book or written the book themselves without any evidence to back it up, and thus because they can remember something complex or they wrote the book, it must be ‘right’.  Right and wrong feature very frequently in their conversation – you are simply ‘wrong’ they say. But books can be wrong, and without evidence the information is a lie, compounded usually by faulty reasoning

Women and children are often judged by their inability to remember either appallingly complex ‘papers’ or trivia.  But this is a strength not a weakness. Truth can be expressed simply.

If you look at the diagram you will see that there is a line running from the Composer [of dreams visions and inspiration] within the Higher spirit box. It is called Spiritual input – and this input from a higher source than ourselves, includes the sort of inspiration one gets to write a good story [like J K Rowling or Enid Blyton] or compose beautiful poems [like Wordsworth] or be truly wise [like Einstein].

Notice where the line goes.  It doesn’t go to the ego or to reasoning, it doesn’t go to memory, in fact it by passes the intellect altogether.  Instead it becomes a little whisper of perception, intuition, a feeling and it is the subconscious that captures it, not the conscious mind.  If the chattering conscious mind with its cleverness and facts that aren’t facts but opinions, is loud enough – and all the big egos, the big I AM, men are very loud in their cleverness – it drowns out all real wisdom.

Clever men are not wise men.

So let us go back to Genesis.

Opposing the serpent

opposing the Serpent – Snakes – they are wily, power hungry, destructive.  They make money at the expense of the planet and its creatures. The only emotion they are likely to show is anger and aggression – used to get their way, bully and intimidate the ‘meek’ and the thoughtful, the inspired, and the wise.  They use the earth’s bounty wastefully, labelling this bounty as ‘resources’. They plunder and lie, manipulate and destroy.

In contrast Eve is the subconscious.

She was tricked by the Serpent because she was innocent and believed him.

13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.  14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed:

God did not blame Eve.  His curse landed on the serpent.  So man as wily intellectual serpent, pursuing his own selfish aims is cursed.

And notice where that spiritual input goes to – all that wisdom, inspiration, healing energy, love, bliss and true happiness  – it goes to Eve, the feminine, the emotional one, the one unencumbered by a vast pointless memory full of rubbish, and an ego the size of a bus.

The female Eve is not driven by ego or selfish desires, she often puts others before herself and the welfare of the planet and all its creatures first.  She has the wisdom to know that without co-operation and love, as well as suppression of ego, the planet and the human race will die, just as God told them.

It is Adam – the Higher spirit – the Christ in us all

– that feeds us with help, but unless we listen, we are doomed.

It is only via the Eve in us and the help given to the Eve in us via the Higher spirit that our ‘salvation’ as a planet and human race is achievable.  Women have Eve in them automatically unless they have sacrificed Eve in order to get on in a career dominated by serpents – the snakes.

But men who are even remotely intellectual or ‘clever’, are the problem not the solution, and because over the past 50 years or so the absence of wars has saved them, politics [like that in China] has favoured them over women, and medical ‘advances’ have saved them [before science intervened, more girls survived than boys, and this was as Nature intended].  We are totally out of balance – teeming with out of control serpents – and the consequences are there for all to see.

The planet is dying, and we and our children will go along with most of the rest of creation.  As Macron said ‘there is no Planet B’.

This is the biggest challenge women [and men who have achieved balance by squashing egos, desires and intellect to find the feminine in them] have ever faced.

And what did God say to the serpent?

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, [a state or feeling of active opposition or hostility] ….; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

In other words women must be permanently nagging and attacking what is going on, actively opposing the Serpents and they must do this by constantly attacking the ‘head’ – the ego, the invalid data in memory, the lies and deceit, the selfishness and bully tactics, the poor reasoning and the willfulness, the cunning and wile.

In other words, women have to attack the serpent on his own soil, his own territory, undermining him the whole time, finding data which contradicts what they spout, applying reasoning, crushing their ego and learning to say NO at their selfishness, or destructive desires.

And our help in this is Adam, our Higher spirit, the Christ within, the Buddha nature, the Atman; our link to the realm of God and spirit.

But the warning came and no one heeded it, the serpent will ‘bruise the heel’ of our Higher spirit.  So all those who attack religion or a belief in the spirit, who undermine those who provide methods for coming closer to the spirit world, who call meditators ‘woo woos’ or mindfulness training ‘new age crap’, are serpents.

So now we know the enemy, the next blog can be about how to defeat him.

A quick note from Deb

opposing-the-serpent-rosemary-rock-evansI’d just like to acknowledge how honoured and grateful I am to publish this blogpost, the first of a series from Rosemary Rock-Evans. Rosemary is my Aunty through marriage (both of us married Rock-Evans’) and we have never met in person. We have however forged a friendship and mutual respect for each others work and efforts to share our passions and concerns with the world, we support and empower each other to bravely ‘use our voice’ online and that is why I invited her as a guest author on this topic.

She has sent shivers up the spines of Nobel prize winners [who dread her input on forums]; and panic in the world of pharmaceuticals, where her mantra of ’cause based healing and not symptom based drugs’, has created pandemonium in boardrooms. She is also the creator of an amazing a not for profit site and extensive database that receives well over 45,000 visitors per month! I believe she is wildly qualified on this topic and she will certainly help empower us through her wisdom.

I hope you enjoy her series and the narrative that unfolds.
